Travis Hunter
Travis graduated from Penn State University with a degree
in Plastics Engineering and have worked in plastics industry
for ten years. He has designed and analyzed parts for the
automotive and most recently the consumer goods industry. He
works as a design engineer/analyst. He has designed and
tested the functionality of plastic blow-molded bottles, as
well as developed the equipment required to manufacture
them. He has been responsible for developing the CAE program
to its current state.
Travis' expertise extends to simulation of blow-molded
containers. He has used FEA and now is using CFD to simulate
manufacturing. He is interested in all aspects of CAD and
CAE, and I am constantly searching for the newest technology
and ideas.
He uses the following software:
- NX
- NX Nastran
- NX Thermal and Flow
- ANSYS POLYFLOW
- MSC Nastran SimXpert
- CNRC Blow View / Form View FlexSim
His articles include:
- ANTEC 2006, The Effect of Accelerated Aging and
Physical Aging on Molecular Weight in Medical Polymers,
PLM World 2012
- A Mold Cooling Analysis Using NX Thermal and Flow,
