AutoCAD 3D Modeling: Editing Solids, Part 9
September 19, 2003 The SOLIDEDIT command offers different
options to edit solid objects. The options cover face editing,
edge editing and body editing. I have designed a series of
tutorials to cover all these options. Every tutorial explains
one or more options. (See also:

In this tutorial I show you how to use Separate and Check.
You can reach these options through Solids Editing toolbar
[Figure 1]. The options deal with body of solid models.

5. If you click any
of the parts the other part is also selected. Although the parts
are separate they belong to the same solid model. To separate
the parts invoke Separate (Modify menu > Solids Editing >
Separate).
6. Select the solid
object. The model is divided into two objects now.
7. Invoke Check
(Modify menu > Solids Editing > Check). Click one of the models.
It is a valid ShadeManager solid.
