Reordering Components in an Inventor Assembly

In Inventor R6 and R7 you cannot reorder assemblies by dragging their components in the assembly browser. Instead, you can use the following tips to change the order of components:

• In the assembly mode start the Pattern Component command
• Select components in that order you want to see in the browser
• Create any pattern (array)
• Erase the newly created pattern
• Your assembly is now displayed in the new order.
